The Partnership’s Shaun Drinkard coordinated with Encore, Downtown’s Tempo District and event organizer, Generation Food Truck to stage the World’s Largest Food Truck Rally caravan launch at the Encore site. 80+ food trucks lined the streets of Encore early Saturday morning until Mayor Buckhorn “rang the dinner bell,” their signal to begin their caravan to the event site, the Florida State Fairgrounds. This arrangement made Downtown Tampa the site where the Guinness World Record was set! Mayor Buckhorn was on hand to “ring the dinner bell” to launch this colossal caravan. The number of trucks totaled 99 at their event site at the fairgrounds. Congratulations to Generation Food Truck and Carlos Eats for breaking the world record!
