In an attempt to break the Guinness world record of 62 food trucks set at Magic City Casino in Miamiearlier this year, the World’s Largest Food Truck Rally Ever will start at Encore in Downtown Tampa. The Rally will then caravan from Encore to the Florida State Fairgrounds and continue from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. The event is being planned by Generation Food Truck, Florida State Fair Authority, Truckspotting.com, and local food blog, Carlos Eats. This past Friday, 15 girls from Tampa’s Girlstories Leadership Theatre performed a dress rehearsal of their upcoming show “Dreams So Bright” to residents of Ella – the new home to 160 active seniors in Downtown Tampa’s mixed-use development, Encore. The girls, whose ages range from 11 to 13, were excited to perform this compilation of true stories from their lives to the friendly, supportive audience of residents.
