The Ella at ENCORE! is 100% leased, providing apartment homes for downtown Tampa seniors aged 62+. The Trio at ENCORE! is putting on its finishing touches for an April grand opening, when it will welcome even more residents to Downtown’s Tempo District. Groundbreaking at The Tempo at ENCORE! Apartments
On Thursday, February 13th, ground was broken at The Tempo, the fourth apartment building to soon welcome residents home to Tampa’s ENCORE!® mixed-use district. Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn was on hand to deliver remarks, as well as development partners from Banc of America Community Development Company and Tampa Housing Authority. Joining them were former residents of the Central Avenue corridor and new residents and community stakeholders, composing what has become Downtown Tampa’s largest re-imagined neighborhood.

Apartment Association Names The Ella at ENCORE! Affordable Community of the Year
ENCORE!® is honored that its inaugural apartment community, The Ella at ENCORE!, has been named by the Bay Area Apartment Association as 2014’s Affordable Apartment Community of the Year.
The Ella at ENCORE!, and the overall ENCORE! community, are named in honor of the rich musical history of Downtown Tampa’s Central Avenue in its heyday – where Ray Charles recorded his first song, the famous dance move and song “The Twist” were born, and legendary jazz artists Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday and Cab Calloway visited often to perform in what was known then as “Harlem South.” ENCORE… Read more
