Mayor Buckhorn Kicks Off World’s Largest Food Truck Rally at ENCORE!
On Saturday morning, the World’s Largest Food Truck Rally kicked off at ENCORE! in downtown Tampa and Mayor Buckhorn rang the honorary dinner bell.
“I am so proud that Tampa holds the record for the World’s Largest Food Truck Rally. The event put Tampa on the map, and proved to cities like Miami and Chicago that Tampa is where it’s at for foodies, food trucks, and craft beer.”

Plans for Encore’s fourth apartment building unveiled
More than 60 people came this week to see the unveiling of Tempo, the fourth apartment building planned for Encore.
Architects with St. Petersburg-based Bessolo Design Group showed off their proposed design for the multi-family apartment complex at a community gathering Tuesday at The Ella, an apartment building for seniors that opened last year at Encore.
Encore is a planned mixed-use, mixed-income community that replaces Central Park Village, a 1950s-era public housing complex torn down in 2007. It is a $425-$450 million project north of downtown along Cass Street, Nebraska Avenue and Central Avenue… Read more
Tempo at Encore developers share plans
Design plans for Tempo have debuted, the fourth jazz-themed residential building at the Encore redevelopment site in downtown Tampa.
The $41 million project is expected to break ground the first quarter of 2014.
Kevin Bessolo of Bessolo Design Group is the architect for the 203-unit apartment building, which will offer one-bedroom to four-bedroom floor plans.
The 265,723-square-foot building will offer a 365-space, multi-level parking garage. A 5,000-square-foot clubhouse and 3,000-square-foot theater are planned, along with 2,321 square feet of first floor commercial… Read more
