Sept. 10, 2013 – (Tampa, FL) Construction of The Reed at ENCORE! is now underway. This 7-story, 158-unit building located at ENCORE! in downtown Tampa will become home to active senior families by late 2014, according to Banc of America Community Development Corporation (BACDC).

The Partnership’s Shaun Drinkard coordinated with Encore, Downtown’s Tempo District and event organizer, Generation Food Truck to stage the World’s Largest Food Truck Rally caravan launch at the Encore site. 80+ food trucks lined the streets of Encore early Saturday morning until Mayor Buckhorn “rang the dinner bell,” their signal to begin their caravan to the event site, the Florida State Fairgrounds. On Saturday morning, the World’s Largest Food Truck Rally kicked off at ENCORE! in downtown Tampa and Mayor Buckhorn rang the honorary dinner bell.
